Just a word for the day thats in it. First many thanks to my family for putting up with my prolonged absence over the past few weeks. Secondly thanks to my staff for all their hard work and dedication. Our business is bulky on our team. And finally a huge thanks to our many many customers who supported us over the past twelve months . It has been a great pleasure to offer you our hospitality and I hope to see you all in the new year. A very happy Christmas to all.
Christmas orders are streaming in at this stage. Cooked Hams and Turkeys are our specialty and are extremely popular as always. Our growing trade in Christmas cakes and Puddings are selling well again with some sizes in the cakes getting scarce. Come in for a free taste of all our Christmas goodies. Our extensive Christmas list is available from our friendly staff.

Speaking of foraging, if anyone is interested, I'm in the market for BLACKBERRIES. I'll buy good quality BLACKBERRIES from anybody who is going put picking them. They be good must quality because as Darina Allen says " you can make bad food with good ingredients but you cant make good food with bad ingredients "
Foraging Season is now in full swing. Damsons courtesy of Agnes and Brendan Cleary of Bawngarrif are now in. We'll be making both Damson jam and Damson chutney with these little beauties. David Shee of Newtown Upper has provided the bounty of his Crab Apple trees. This will be transformed into Crab Apple Jelly today . It will be nice to have this on sale again after an absence of a couple of months.
