Our mud kitchen is all ready for next week!!! As parents we're sometimes scared to let our children get dirty, but there really are sooo many benefits to 'messy play' and here at Cuala we encourage children to enjoy learning through all different mediums 😊. As per our parents handbook, please remember to dress your child in clothes that you don't mind coming home a bit grubby😉! You can read of the many benefits of mud kitchens online, but here are a few: *Creative expression and invention (mud can become anything!) *Problem solving opportunities (e.g. how to make soup thin or thick, how to make mud meatballs stick together) *Hand eye coordination *Gross and fine motor skills develop *Imagination and creativity- imagination develops as they role play *Cooperative play possibilities (e.g. let’s cook dinner, let’s have a restaurant, let’s feed the baby—you be the baby) *Stress reduction (being outdoors in nature helps children relax) *Building stronger immune systems (research indicates that some exposure to dirt helps build resistance to bad bacteria) *Growing affection for the stuff on our earth—soil, stones, sand, and growing plants (leading to care for our planet)
🌟🌟🌟Due to a cancellation we have 1 place to offer in our afternoon Montessori class (1.30 -4.30pm) starting this Sept 2016. We offer 2 years free ECCE and we don't look for voluntary contributions or top up fees 😀. The first year will be in our afternoon Montessori group but your child will be given preference of a morning place in their 2nd year (Sept 2017). If you are interested in taking this place please send a PM or phone Sandra on 085 7212290 with any queries, and to secure the place 😊. 🌟🌟🌟
