The Draft Local Area Plans for the Blarney/Macroom Municipal Area will be on Display in the Blarney Community Council Hall/Old Convent Hall on Tuesday December 6th between 12 noon and 4.30pm. All are welcome.

SECAD is rolling out new employment supports services in Blarney in the coming weeks. Details are outlined below on upcoming Employment skills workshops and on a new one to one Employment support clinic. All SECAD Employment support services are free of charge. CV & Cover letter workshop, Monday 24th October, 10am-1pm Interview Skills workshop, Thursday 10th November, 10am-1pm Both workshops are on a half day basis and have limited numbers. Early booking is essential to secure a place. A monthly 1 to 1 Employment support service will be made available in Blarney offering appointment times in November and early December. This service will include Career Coaching, CV & Cover letter advice, interview skills guidance and information & support on education/training. This is a free & confidential service ( contact office for further details). The A.G.M of Blarney Community Council was held recently on February 23rd. New Officers were elected the following night at a special meeting. They are as follows. Kevin Conway - Chairman Denis O Donovan - Vice Chairman Sean Foley - Secretary Tom O Dwyer - Treasurer We would like to congratulate them and wish them the best on the year ahead.
