We decided to do a follow up activity after seeing the movie Toy Story 4 , we made "Forkie" similar to the one that was made by the little girl in the movie. All the children enjoyed participating in this activity and they liked the idea of getting to make their own "Forkie" . This was a successful activity that the children had fun in creating.

These are the science experiments the children in the Summer camp engaged in during the week . We all had a lot of fun!

On Wednesday we went to the cinema to see Toy Story 4. The children rushed their parents to get them to school on time as they were very excited to go to the cinema. When all the children arrived at school they kept asking the teachers if we could leave now please , we need to get to the cinema fast. All of the children got a lovely treat of popcorn, a drink and sweets of their choice to enjoy during the movie. Overall the children seem to really enjoy this day out and are still talking about it 2 days later.

We are introducing to our kids the world of sports, and football is a great game to start with. The benefits of playing football for kids: - it Is excellent exercise. - It Improves hand-eye and foot-eye coordination. - it teaches kids teamwork and perseverance. - It teaches social skills. They can learn patience, kindness, and the importance of letting everyone have a turn to shine. - It is fun 😊. Montessori 3 (Marta and Aoife).

Today in Montessori we decided to take an impromptu flight to sunny Barcelona! We couldn't decide if we wanted to go to the Beach, the Mountains or a City. So, we chose all three! Barcelona has all three of these features. And we heard it is very nice this time of year 🙂 We started by proceeding in an orderly fashion through security check, where we put our bags onto the 'conveyor belt' to be scanned. Then we were searched by the Waterville Little Stars security team. Who happen to be the very best at detecting any security threats! Following our security clearance, we proceeded to the aircraft where we were met by our Flight Attendants. They checked passengers tickets and directed them to their seats, instructing each passenger to please store their carry on bag under their seat safely. We heard the voices of our pilots, as they welcomed us aboard 'Waterville Little Stars Airlines Flight BA123' direct to Barcelona. After taking off we experienced a little turbulence but, have no fear! Or pilots, are very experienced and can handle any and all issues that may arise aboard the Boeing 747 plane. After the seatbelt sign was turned off, our flight attendants got to work. Passengers were treated to their in-flight meal of banana, apple and crackers. With a glass of water for refreshment. Some passengers chose to bring their meal from home, I don't blame them, I don't like airplane food either!

In Little Stars Summer Camp We celebrated kindness, caring, participation, enthusiasm, energy, positivity, team work, respect. We are having so much fun and learning too!!
