We also offer subsidy for occupational therapy and physical therapy. From our centre we offer a monthly mother & toddler group, new parent support, and baby yoga.
We provide a range of social and educational support for all ages including weekend's away for adults.
We are providing vital support to the schools and run both Numicon courses and Reading and Literacy Intervention. Our volunteer Education Officer provide support to schools, children and parents.
Down Syndrome Cork do not receive any government funding and rely on the support and generosity of the community.
All funds raised in Cork, stay in Cork and we continue to be overwhelmed by the generosity of spirit of the people of Cork. We could not do it without you!!

VULNERABLE CUSTOMERS Our electricity and gas and water providers have a "vulnerable customer" REGISTER that ensures that customers of advanced age or physical, sensory, intellectual or mental health issues can be catered for with regard to communication by phone, post or in person, once registered with them individually. They all have a defined company policy that outlines how their company supports the people listed on this register. I have contact details if you wish to get on their individual protected vulnerable customer register. That is what it is called across the board. They offer communication or bills in different formats (large print, braille, audio) and additional appropriate care during call outs or repairs. The companies are: SSE Airtricity; Flo Gas; Irish Water; Gas Networks Ireland; Electrical Ireland, Energia, Contact the office for more info you are interested.

Sylvaine has spotted a great offer in Aldi next week - Thursday (the 19th) only €50 - the Trip Trap Chair is ideal for positioning (and supporting) wee ones at the table - we had one for years (height adjustable and the foot plate moves according) and it was great - thanks Sylvaine for the tip off! Definitely worth checking out the spec of this Aldi version.
