Finnbarra Cider. A premium Irish Craft Cider that travels the world.
Description
Finnbarra is a cider produced solely from apple juice and a naturally cultivated yeast all done by a small team of four in South Cork, Ireland An old Barry Clan fortified tower has been overlooking the cliffs of Nohoval Cove, County Cork, Ireland since the 16th century. And the surrounding ruins are testimony to the many things that have come and gone since then – one vestige of the past still standing is the old walled orchard which is home to ancient apple trees. It is from the fruit of these trees that Finnbarra Cider began.
Daniel & Géraldine Emerson, the current residents, created their first craft cider blend in 2010. Their passion was to create a cider with integrity, using only Irish apples and only apple juice. It is from the historical perspective of its surroundings that Finnbarra draws its characteristics of quality, longevity and craftsmanship. Finnbarra is drawn from the Gaelic “fionn” meaning fair and “barr” meaning top a fitting description for the fair headed qualities of the gold and amber hues found within our ciders
