Ballymun Halloween Festival October 31st The Ballymun Festival Steering Committee would like to invite you to participate in the Otherworld Festival 2014 Parade and visit the Festival Village on Halloween night at the Ballymun Plaza! Why not dress up, build a float, join the music makers or ride your bike with all the other people who will be in the Halloween Parade. The Parade gathers on Dane Road at 5.15pm and moves onto Balbutcher Lane, crossing over the Ballymun Road to reach the Plaza for the 6pm opening of the Festival site!

We are hoping that, as many individuals, groups and organisations as possible will get dressed up and join the fun. Why not get your friends, group or organisation to make a float, dress up in costume and join this community parade. There is a small bit of funding available to help put your ideas into action, so get your proposals into the committee to see what assistance you can get to support your participation in this COMMUNITY PARADE. OTHERWORLD FESTIVAL: DANCE PARADE VIDEO Just released... *The Otherworld Parade Dance Tutorial Video 2018* Only a handful of days left until 100's of local people take to the streets to perform in Ballymun's Halloween Parade. We received so much positive feedback from last year that we're not one bit surprised even more people want to be involved this year. For the past few weeks we’ve been running dance workshops in venues across Ballymun - Ballymun Regional Youth Resource, Aisling Project, Ballymun Youthreach and C&N Dance. So tons of young people and youth workers are already learning the routine in preparation for Halloween night We're also hosting an open workshop from 6-7pm on Friday 19th October here in axis for anyone else in the community who would like to learn the parade dance and join the madness on Halloween night. So that includes other community groups, families with kids, women, men, younger people or older people. This workshop is literally for anyone and everyone who wants to get involved. HOT OFF THE PRESS... To help you along we've released this year's dance tutorial video so you can practice every night at home if you fancy. You have zero excuse not to get involved. https://youtu.be/5X8BmsxNc30 On Halloween night these are the details you need to know: Just turn up at 4.40pm (sharp) beside Virgin Mary’s Girls School car park (right behind axis) for a parade briefing There will be plenty of festival volunteers there to help/guide you into position Parade takes off at 5pm We will dance/weave our ways through Shangan and Coultry. We stop 4 times at different key spots to perform the routine. We arrive back at the main festival plaza You will then perform the dance one more time as the festival gates open at 6pm. What to wear? Whatever you like - make it fun, make it creepy, anything goes! Any more questions - pop into axis and ask for Emma or Aifric or connect with us on axis' Facebook page So Ballymun - whip out the lycra, throw on your runners and get practicing... See you on Halloween night, folks.
