facebook.comOnly a few days left until Q5! Hope to see lots of you there! Even if you don't intend heading to Killarney in March, this will be a great day of pool and craic!
Hey there folks. So the past 6 weeks or so have been a busy and exciting time for us here at Donegal Q Club. We have made a few changes, and plan to make more in the new year. A couple of tables will be recovered next week with tournament cloth, and in time we will have the other 6 pool tables recovered. Both Kevin and myself are massively grateful to each and every one of you for your continued support, as none of what we do is possible without you. We hope that the club, and Donegal Pool, continue to grow and get stronger, and we aim to do all we can to make this happen. So, as a thank you to our faithful players of all ages, next Friday 22nd, there will be free pool and snooker for all of you! It is just a small gesture to show our appreciation. We will have the Christmas tunes playing, and we may even have some mince pies to keep you going as you dance around the baize! A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all! Hope to see as many of you as possible before Christmas, but if we don't, take it easy on the eggnog! Christmas arrangements: Saturday 23rd - Closed Christmas Eve - Closed St. Stephens Day - Closed December 27th - Closed December 28th - 4pm-10pm December 29th - County Qualifier, open from 11:30am December 30th - 6pm-10pm December 31st - Closed New Years Day - Closed From January 2nd, we are back to our regular opening hours.
If you are in the club over the coming week or so, please consider purchasing a ticket for the IPA Christmas draw. This is a fundraiser for sending Ireland teams to international competitions. It has some nifty prizes, and at only €3 a ticket, it's great value!
Good evening folks! We have just purchased 8 new sets of pro cup balls for the club! These balls are slightly different than the premier balls we had, they play a little different and look different too. As these are the balls used in all IPA events, including the All Irelands, it was important that we made the change as early as possible in order to give us the best possible chance when we head to Killarney in March. So, as regards the rest of the league matches, they will be played on the old balls, unless both players agree to use the Pro Cups. But the league finals night will be played with the Pro Cups. Also, all qualifiers from here on will be played with the new balls. So with only a couple of weeks to go until the next qualifier, you may want to get in and get playing with the Pro Cups as soon as possible! The club is open Monday to Friday from 4pm, and from 6pm on weekends.
Please share to spread the word folks!
