Centra Athboy was started in 1955 by Ollie Bird. Birds Centra is a family owned business established in Athboy in 1955. It has developed into a fully modernised supermarket where you can get all your shopping needs. With a full Butchers counter, great value Fruit & Veg, Bakery, Super Hot Deli counter, Off-License and an extensive range of groceries Birds have everything you need with special offers in every department.
The store prides itself on customer service with extremely helpful and friendly staff, all of whom come from the local Athboy area
The store also operates a FREE home delivery service along with an in-store ATM, phone top-ups, bin tags, National Lottery, newsagents, flowers, cards, confectionary, ice cream and everything you would expect to see in a top class supermarket. The store is also a consistent winner of the 'EIQA Hygienic Award', along with numerous 'Centra Store of Year' Awards.

It is with huge regret that due to predicted dire weather that Athboy High Nelly club have announced Mrs Claus will be unable to visit Athboy tomorrow. Santa is very concerned that at her age,she’s not great on her feet and doesn’t want to bring all the boys and girls of Athboy out in such dangerous conditions.
