Terraclean Diesel Fuel based service. Unfortunately it's a fact that all Diesel engines will eventually build up deposits of carbon in their combustion chambers, exhaust ports, turbo and catalytic converter. The reason this is becoming a bigger problem on modern Diesel engines is because of lower combustion temperatures. For carbon to burn a combustion temperature in excess of 550 deg C has to be achieved, this where the problem lies in all modern Diesel engines, they are fitted with emissions control systems that have way of reducing the combustion temperature to around 350 deg C, this is called Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). This reduced combustion temperature lowers the amount of Nitrogen Oxides (NOX) that is emitted from the vehicle exhaust into the atmosphere. All well and good for the air quality but not so good for the inside of your engine. The way a diesel TerraClean works is by disconnecting your engine from your fuel tank, the machine is connected to the engine fuel lines and it then runs on the highly refined fuel inside of it. This fuel is very rich in additives which perform the cleaning process, what sets TerraClean apart from any other decarbonising or injector cleaning service is that they clean both pre and post combustion. This means removing gums varnishes and carbon deposits from the injectors, this improves injector response times reducing knock and it also restores the spray pattern and results in improved atomisation creating a cleaner burn. It doesn't end there, once the fuel has burned there are additives that turn into gasses which oxygenate the combustion chambers, turbo, cat and DPF, this allows the carbon to burn at much lower temperatures and it exits the exhaust as carbon dioxide and water. The end result is improved engine efficiency, which leads to improvements in performance, mpg and emissions. I hope this explanation has been helpful.
