Interdenominational and independent community researching Apostolic church history. Apostolic History Network is a registered charity under the name of Netzwerk Apostolische Geschichte e.V. at the court of Bielefeld, Germany. The Apostolic History Network was founded following a meeting of interested persons in Coswig/Anhalt, Germany in 2008. Subsequently, several activities were launched that should support historical research in the area of the Apostolic congregations in Europe and worldwide. These include a wiki dedicated to the history of the Apostolics (http://www.apwiki.de) and a collection of historical documents from the Catholic Apostolic Church (http://www.apostolische-dokumente.de).

In the course of our annual meeting on Apostolic church history, Edwin Diersmann presented his new book on the events that took place in the week of July 14th, 1835, when the Apostles were called and separated within the Catholic Apostolic congregations in England.

182 years ago, the Catholic Apostolic apostles were separated to take up their duties as apostles of the universal church. We invite you to celebrate this Apostolic holiday with us. Everywhere, worldwide, on July 14th! (Some background info can be found on the website of the New Apostolic Church: http://www.nak.org/en/150-years/history/news/article/17970/ )

July 14, 1835 was and is a special holiday for the Catholic Apostolic congregations, remembering the separation of the Apostles on that day. During the last few years, Apostolic History Network has lobbied to make the old Apostolic holiday known again within the other different Apostolic churches. We are now astonished, surprised and pleased to learn that on Sunday, July 16th, this day will be the main topic for all New Apostolic Church services worldwide. This is a good development in terms of historical awareness. As usual, we will also be hosting a special remembrance evening on July 14th: Gedenken an die Aussonderung der Apostel vor 182 Jahren - you are cordially invited!

And still exclusively financed and maintained by volunteers. A big THANK YOU goes to all supporters! You are all invited to come and visit this unique venue!

Aus alt mach neu: B1000-Werbemobil mit Hilfe von Gemeindemitgliedern fertiggestellt

Have you ever seen a Church History group having its own historical vehicle? Apostolic History Network is glad and thankful to present a promotion car that has a history on its own. This East German two-stroke fire brigade car was initially used as a small fire-fighting vehicle, featuring five seats and some equipment in the back. Sometime back in the 1980s, it was converted into a van (eight seats). It was used frequently at least well into the 1990s, then went into storage. Apostolic History Network received the car as a donation, and several members and enthusiasts contributed to the costly and time-intensive restauration. We will use the van for events and transportation purposes. Find many restauration pictures in the German-language article below!

Archiv Brockhagen received an interesting donation last Saturday: A desk that was used in the house of Chief Apostle Hermann Niehaus (1848-1932), probably his personal working place. We will be using it as a central place for archiving books in our library.
