Rellingen is a municipality in the district of Pinneberg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated approximately 7 km east of Pinneberg, and 10 km northwest of Hamburg. Population as of December 31, 2007 is 13,746. The total land area are 13.19 km².Rellingen was formerly part of the Duchy of Holstein, a subject of the Danish Crown.TransportationRellingen can be reached from Bundesautobahn 23. The Hamburg S-Bahn (line 3) and bus system (lines 185, 195, 295 and 395) are also connected to Rellingen.ArchitectureRellingen is famous for its Lutheran church. The architect was Cai Dose. The previous church building was damaged badly during the Thirty Years War. It was rebuilt between 1754 and 1756 and was extended.
