The session finishes with passive stretching followed by advice and recommendations for the owner if required. (Vet authorisation must been sought before a session can take place)

LASER THERAPY
What Laser stands for: Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
The practice of Laser Therapy is known as: Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT).
The Basic Principle:
If a tissue is injured, the normal function of that tissue is impaired...LLLT acts by stimulating or activating the cells in the targeted tissue; altering the metabolism and behaviour of the cell in the tissue and thus increase healing potential. Different tissue types are activated or stimulated by different wave lengths, frequencies and energy densities. These can also change depending on the desired outcome and reason for using LLLT.
What Can LLLT Be Used For:
• Laser can help with both chronic and acute pain: Laser is able to decrease the speed of the nerve conduction and thus reduces the number of pain impulses that the CNS receives.
• Muscle spasms
• Nerve inflammation
• Lymphatic issues
• Arthritic conditions
• Wound healing: help prevent infection and enables the closure of the wound without the accumulation of proud flesh.
• Acupuncture or trigger point therapy
• Fracture/ Bone healing
