When they were graffittied, the removal of spray paint left a light blue patina from the traces of leftover paint. Neue Termine: Kabuki Noir Münster von Gintersdorfer/Klaßen wird am 19. und 20. Januar 2018 bei FFT Düsseldorf gezeigt Das während der Skulptur Projekte entwickelte Stück beschäftigt sich mit Darstellungscodes aus der japanischen Theater-Tanz-Musikform Kabuki. In einer Bühnenaufführung mit 7 Darsteller*innen verschiedener Disziplinen verwandeln Gintersdorfer/Klaßen die traditionelle japanische Tanzform durch Bewegung, Schauspiel und Gesang zu einem neuen Bühnenritual, das anders als im homogenen Kabuki die kulturellen Differenzen des Teams in sich trägt. +++ Kabuki Noir Münster was developed during the Skultpur Projekte Münster and is informed by the performative codes of Japanese Kabuki dance theatre. #ÖffentlicheSammlung Rosemarie Trockel, "Less Sauvage than Others [Weniger wild als andere]", Skulptur Projekte 2007 Seit den Skulptur Projekten Münster 2007 säumen zwei massive, viereinhalb Meter hohe Hecken das Aaseeufer. Rosemarie Trockel ließ das Eibenbuschwerk bereits ein halbes Jahr vor der Ausstellung parallel zum Spazierweg anpflanzen, um eine entsprechende Größe und Festigkeit der Hecke zu erreichen sowie den gezielten Formschnitt vornehmen zu können. Die vier Seiten der in zwei Blöcke geschnittenen Hecke legte sie leicht asymmetrisch an. Rosemarie Trockel had the yew bushes planted along the promenade half a year before the exhibition, so that the hedge would not only be robust enough but also of an appropriate size for the envisaged topiary. The artist aligned the four sides of the hedge, cut in two blocks, slightly asymmetrically, and had the surfaces of the yew cuboids clipped to incline towards their inner edges, rather than being cut horizontally. http://bit.ly/PublicCollection_RosemarieTrockel

Jeremy Deller, Speak to the Earth and It Will Tell You (2007–2017) In dem Langzeitprojekt haben mehr als 30 Schriftführer_innen der mitwirkenden Kleingartenvereine über zehn Jahre lang Aufzeichnungen zu den saisonalen Veränderungen von Flora und Fauna, gemeinschaftliche Aspekte des Vereinslebens sowie persönliche Erlebnisse dokumentiert. Das Ergebnis ist eine vielstimmige Chronik zum sozio-kulturellen und botanischen Mikrokosmos des Kleingartens. Die Tagebücher sind nun in der Bibliothek des LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur öffentlich zugänglich. +++ Over a period of ten years, more than 30 secretaries of the participating allotment gardens have kept records of the seasonal changes in flora and fauna. They also documented communal aspects of club life in the allotment garden as well as personal experiences. The result is a polyphonic chronicle of the socio-cultural and botanical microcosm of the allotment garden.
