Kieler Woche - the greatest sailing event in the world and the largest summer festival in northern Europe. Die Kieler Woche ist die weltweit größte Segelsportveranstaltung kombiniert mit dem größten Sommerfest im Norden Europas. Jedes Jahr in der letzten vollen Woche im Juni kommen über 5.000 Segler in das Olympiazentrum in Kiel-Schilksee, um in den verschiedensten Bootsklassen von der Einhandjolle bis zur Hochseeyacht zu den Regatten auf der Kieler Förde anzutreten. Die Landeshauptstadt Kiel begrüßt in den 9 Tagen Kieler Woche über 3 Millionen Besucher aus aller Welt in der Stadt, die das maritime Flair des Sommerfest mit den zahlreichen Bühnen und Veranstaltungen in der Stadt an der Förde genießen.
