Der Surfer Ed D´Ascoli setzte sich das Ziel, den perfekten Surfanzug mit hoher Bewegungsfreiheit in höchster Qualität herzustellen. Schnell hatte sich XCEL einen hervorragenden Ruf als Corebrand erarbeitet.
Aufgrund der hohen Nachfrage wurde das Warenlager auf Hawaii zu klein und ein neues großes Lager in Kalifornien entstand. Durch zunehmende Anfragen nach hochwertigen Tauchanzügen auf dem Festland begann XCEL mit der Entwicklung und Produktion von druckresistentem Tauchneopren.
Durch die außerordentliche Qualität und ein hohes Maß an Tragekomfort schaffte sich die Firma schnell einen Namen und setzte die Messlatte auf dem Tauchmarkt deutlich höher. Dank der hochwertigen Verarbeitung, der enormen Belastbarkeit in allen Situationen und stetig neuer Innovationen rüstet XCEL die US Streitkräfte mittlerweile exklusiv mit Neoprenanzügen aus.
