wikiloops.com - musicians web jam along the quickest way to understand what wikiloops does is propably watching our 1-minute-explanation video, which you'll find posted on our wall or on the start-page of wikiloops.com.
wikiloops.com is a zero cost web community of homerecording musicians which like to share their handplayed music, cut into convenient loops, so other musicians looking for play along tracks can tune in.
Just browse the database with the wikiloops search engine, it you allows to filter exactly which instruments should or should not be included, which style category you prefer or even which bpm count your backing track should have.
The community is growing by the day, and our users keep producing new tracks. Its a homerecorders playground, a place to connect for people otherwise sitting alone with their instruments and an international meeting place for musicians of all kinds.

Have you had a look at our new looks? wikiloops version 10 is live, the jam continues.
Join a long weekend of making music "offline", anyone interested to come and play with us is welcome to join us at the "Akademie'"-Rooms of the Steinfeld Monastery (same location as last year, check our page for the infamous video!). Again we'll offer seperate areas for unplugged and amplified jamming and the *usual* extra activities - we'll keep you updated with a more detailed schedule of happenings as the event approaches. We're happy to assist any non-german visitors in getting to Steinfeld by public transport, which can be done quite conveniently using the german rail system. Airport shuttling to Cologne can be provided on demand, please get in touch and we'll guide you in. Catering and accomodation needs to be booked via wikiloops.com or by contacting us here via facebook, day visitors are welcome to show up, a small contribution will be asked for.

A musical meeting of wikiloops members - Guest-Musicians and listeners are welcome to join us on Friday and Saturday evening. There will be two jam session areas for unplugged & amplified jams in the "Akademie" building of Kloster Steinfeld, Germany. Admission for guests is free, donations to support the event are welcome! See you there :)
