Every E31 owner knows the problem with the battery drain. In average the car won't start if parked for two weeks or more because the batteries are dead. My solution to this is (next to fixing the root cause which is most of the time a faulty GM) a kill switch for the left battery. It is switched to ON when I drive the car and when I park it for a longer period I just disconnect the left battery. This way I can jumpstart my car in case the remaining battery isn't strong enough anymore.

Last week I enjoyed probably one of the last nice days in 2017 on my motorcycle. Being in a queue I had to make an emergency stop and the car behind me almost hit me on the bike. So I decided that I need such a "dynamic brake light" like it is standard nowadays on modern cars and at least BMW motorcycles. €79,- and 30min labour time is definitely worth it IMO. To simulate a strong braking I just tilted the seat on my bike forward. The module has an electronic G-sensor and is mounted underneath the seat. The harder I brake the faster the light blinks and when I come to a stop it stops blinking.
Amazing how much additional space a little clean up and reorganisation creates :)
