InnoBootCamp - Thanks to Iouri and Ari and thanks to all the participants for a great workshop! Prof. Iouri Kotorov and Prof. Ari Stenroos, two guest lecturers of our partner university “Karelia University of Applied Sciences” in Joensuu, Finland, offered their expertise and guidance in a two-day workshop dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship. The workshop was offered to our students of the master programme “International Business and Intercultural Management” within the course „Sustainable Management“. The objective of the workshop was to produce concrete business, product and service concepts with the help of diverse group members and experts. The participants learned and enforced new product development methods and used these skills for producing innovative business or service entities. The workshop “InnoBootCamp” is based on the InnovationMonth® course created by Karelia UAS in 2011. Over 500 students from 40 countries have participated in this special course to learn about the meaning of entrepreneurship as a possibility for self-employment and employing.

Video Conference with MIBIM students: International Conference “Innovative trends of sustainable development of economy and society” in St. Petersburg, April 2017 Three master students of our M.A. programme “International Business and Intercultural Management” presented their topics in the section “International business: organizational commitment to sustainability and geopolitical volatility” in collaboration with Prof. Hayduk, International Affairs Principal of our Faculty. The conference was organized by our partner university St. Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON, Russia) with participants in Russia, Germany and Japan. “Mexico`s position in international business and its commitment towards sustainability” was presented by MIBIM students Ana Karina Toral & Ana Laura Hernandez. MIBIM student Fabian Burkard presented his Master Thesis project: “Viable energy storages by the example of the aqueous sodium-ion battery – A possible sustainable business model?” Presenting for an international audience sitting in front of a camera without the direct response of an audience was challenging, but an enriching experience. Congratulations on the success!

2. Sieger beim Elevator-Pitch Letzte Woche hat ein Team aus den BWL Fallstudien bei Prof. Merlin mit der Geschäftsidee einer verschließbaren Strandtasche den 2. Platz beim Elevator Pitch der Region Heilbronn-Franken gewonnen. Angetreten waren 22 Gründer und Gründungswillige aus allen Branchen und jeden Alters. Herzlichen Glückwunsch für diesen tollen Erfolg an: Khatia Giorgobiani, Milica Illic, Viktoriya Sushko, Anna-Maria Seidewitz!

Es gibt News aus Sotschi: Wir haben heute auf der sportlichen Konferenz an der Partneruni in Sotschi unsere Projekte präsentiert und waren sehr erfolgreich darin. Herr Jaworski hat die Konferenz geleitet. Die Studenten aus Sotschi begleiten uns die ganze Zeit und helfen uns.
