Our Featured Fellow for today is Sara from the Philippines! She participated in the #connectionchallenge program at our Berlin campus. Sara’s venture, Reef Nomads Skin Diving Tours, works to reconnect Filipinos with the ocean by giving them deeper experiences with marine life. Her goal is to train local fisherfolk to become skin diving guides so they can earn a living and share about their community to local and foreign visitors. Sara’s next step is to host an informational program to both promote the new business and to create awareness and connections with marine life through Skin Diving. This program will be an information session for beginners who wish to take part in a dive later in the year or to simply learn more about their community marine life. This is a great opportunity to have an amazing experience while also learning more about marine life! The use of water as a resource for drinking and for industry is of high importance and is an integral part of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Agenda. 16 participants from private and public water sectors attended our workshop in Berlin yesterday and contributed to the formation of a valuable water-target process planning within companies locally and internationally.
