On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit filled the disciples and empowered them to speak in different languages (Acts 2:1-4). Their mission was to spread the good news to all the nations and make disciples for the lord. God has generously equipped his church to accomplish his purposes through the Holy Spirit. God gives to us before we ever give to him. Our generosity is a response that originates out of the Father’s gift to us. Acts 2:42-46 talks about the Community in the Early Church whose members were characterized by sacrificial generosity and fellowship, they devoted themselves to God and each other through prayer, fellowship, hospitality and radical acts of corporate generosity.
The Christian community cannot faithfully represent the body of Christ without expressing tangible concern for the physical welfare of its poorest members, even if this means others have to sacrifice and give a great deal. Failure to provide for the poor among us is a denial of Christ and his body.
By divine inspiration through the Holy Spirit, we have created this page as a platform to reflect the community in the primitive church. We aim to:
- Spread the gospel of Jesus Christ
- Love God and love one another
- Be of one heart & mind
- Pray for each other
- Worship & praise God
- Fellowship
- Share our possessions with the needy
