Die Big Jump Challenge springt mit euch durch Europa! 2015 soll die europäische Richtlinie für Gewässerschutz, die Wasserrahmenrichtlinie, erfüllt sein. Doch gerade einmal die Hälfte aller Flüsse und Seen wird bis dahin einen guten Zustand erreichen. Wir wollen Schwung in den Gewässerschutz bringen und starten die Jugendkampagne zum Europäischen Flussbadetag 2015.

IHR bereitet gleichzeitig mit einem Partnerteam aus einem anderen EU-Land eine Aktion an eurem Fluss oder See vor. WIR helfen euch bei der Partnersuche, den Vorbereitungen und mit den nötigen Informationen. Gemeinsam zeigen wir Europa, was ihr drauf habt. Aus euren Reihen senden wir eine Delegation junger FlussbotschafterInnen zum European Rivers Parliament, um die EU-PolitikerInnen mit ins Boot zu holen. Damit eure Ziele und Ideen für den Gewässerschutz in Europa politischen Rückenwind bekommen!

The Big Jump Challenge jumps with you through Europe! 2015 is the year when the European guidelines for freshwater conservation, The Water Framework Directive, should be satisfied. However, only half of all lakes and rivers will have met the criteria for being in good condition by then. We want to bring momentum to freshwater protection by starting a youth campaign for the European River Swimming Day in 2015.


YOU and a partner team from another EU country will prepare a water action for your respective rivers or lakes, to be carried out at the same time. WE help you in the search to find a partner team, in the water action preparations, and with necessary information. Together we show Europe what it takes! From your ranks we'll send a youth delegation with River Ambassadors to the European Rivers Parliament where you'll get in a boat with EU politicians to show that they're on board with freshwater conservation. This way we can get your goals and ideas for freshwater protection into the political tailwind!
