MOVE II
Description
MOVE-II is a CubeSat currently under development by an interdisciplinary team of students of the TU Munich. It will launch into space in late 2017. MOVE-II (Munich Orbital Verification Experiment II) is TUM's second CubeSat currently under development with launch expected in late 2017. The goal of this project is to provide a flexible platform for scientific missions including all components necessary to successfully operate scientific payloads in low earth orbit for at least six months. MOVE-II is a cooperation between the Institute of Astronautics at TUM and the Scientific Workgroup of Rocketry and Spaceflight (WARR). The project is funded by the German Aerospace Center DLR (FKZ 50RM 1509).

Last week we had the chance to conduct acoustic tests on our satellite at the Chair of Vibro-Acoustics of Vehicles and Machines (VIB). The video shows an out of plane response of one of the four Flappanels to sound pressure exposure. Thanks to the advanced facilities at VIB, it is possible to visualize the dynamic behaviour of the test specimen, which allows for a direct comparison with FEM simulations. Apart from its scientific benefit, this test is a great example of valuable cooperation between the chairs and institutes at TUM. Check out http://www.vib.mw.tum.de/en/home/ for more information about VIB!
Hi, The MOVE-II Satellite Project is looking for new members! We are currently developing the software for the Mission Control Center which will allow us to analyse and control our satellite once it is launched at the beginning of next year. Therefore we are looking for developers that have experience in Web Development (Angular2, bootstrap) and Backend Development (Java and some Python3 tools for feeding the database with fresh information). If you are interested let us know either per mail (alexander.lill@cs.tum.edu) or come by to our weekly meeting. The weekly meeting takes place every Wednesday at 6pm. The venue is at the LRT. It is located at the Maschinenwesen building, building part 6 (this is where the jet is, just next to "printy") on the first floor. You can also find it with the room finder: https://portal.mytum.de/displayRoomMap?roomid=1601@5506&disable_decoration=yes Best wishes, MOVE-II team.
We have hidden four satellites in this picture. Can you find them?
Tomorrow, we'll continue our long-term thermal-vacuum test campaign. This will entail tests of how hot our S-Band transceiver can get ;)
Today at Cube Tech: Federal Minister Brigitte Zypries visited our booth and was pretty impressed by our satellite!
Day 2 at Cube Tech Fair Berlin - we enjoy so many interested people at our booth and very good talks at the main stage :)
Today we are exhibiting at Cube Tech Fair in Berlin - visit us if you are there!
Come to Make Munich today and watch the presentation about MOVE-II at 2.30pm!
Our satellite went to the Shaker Tests today. We discovered some issues on which we will work with high pressure. The team is also currently preparing the satellite for the centrifuge test tomorrow. Cheers !! :D
