Description
We are a german NGO with the goal to save as many Sea Turtles as possible in Nicaragua. The goal of our NGO is to save Sea Turtles in Nicaragua.
We work together with Sea Turtle Rescue Nicaragua.
Our two hatcheries are located in the west (NR Padre Ramos) of Nicaragua.
One is situated at the Redwood Beach Resort at Mechapa and the other is in Jiquilillo at the Rancho Tranquilo hostal.

This year we will be in Nicaragaua again. Simone will be at the beach to safe Sea Turtles. Last year we saved 8500 babys - hopefully we will reach this goal again this year.

We released 400 baby turtles last tuesday and we are going on
Simone is back in Germany and we hope to rescue more than 6500 babys this year. Together with all other projects we will have a very high number of safed Sea Turtle Babys this year. 1. Bob is doing a very good job by himself this year. It is the first year he is managing everything by himself and without our financial support. His hatchrate is very good! 2. We dont know how much Turtles are rescued by Gerry from Montis, but the last years he seems to be very happy. 3. The Scrimp Farm neaby is having a hatchery, too. We dont know what is going on there. 4. And there is another hatchery at RBR, which was supported by us for the last years. They reported minimum one baby release.

Simone is on the way back to Germany. VERY GOOD JOB Simone and Arturo! Our statistics for today: 92 nests at all 31 nests hatched with a hatchrate of 79% 61 nest are still breeding ---- We had some problems with animals destroying nests and eating nearly 60 babys and eggs.
