The complete redevelopment of this Victorian end of terrace house in West London is a very special project for a residential house. MixC is one of the first Apple stores from Foster + Partners for China. The store - located in front of a big tower of a new-built mall in Hangzhou – is a 15-metre-high glazed box boasting a glowing ceiling, a cantilevered floor and glass staircases.
This was a competition with Labor Weltenbau, Stuttgart from ThyssenKrupp Elevators to develop a multifuncional new headquater in Neuhausen near Stuttgart. The idea was to merge all functions into one, floating but representative building, divided into three parts above ground level, each raised at one end and have the shape of the boomerangs as ThyssenKrupp logo.
This high end residential house in Pforzheim in the south of Germany is a conversion and reconstruction of a bungalow house built in the sixties. For the modern re-design it was necessary to demolish almost every element of the building retaining only the shell. The original house looked very small in the surrounding neighbourhood. The intention was to achieve a bigger appearance without increasing the cost too much. The solution was found in steel profiles framing the original building. The frames give the house a geometrical form and a unique play of light and shadow and a prominent appearance to its neighbours.
Diploma 2012 Demand for flights and the range of destinations to which people want to fly has been increasing constantly and is predicted to continue to grow considerably in the coming years. Airports in Europe, particularly the larger hubs, already suffer from great capacity constraints which lead to late arrivals and less security and safety. Due to its central location and connection point between the European and the Asian continent- Istanbul (Turkey) is the ideal location for a new mega hub in Europe.
The Rivoli EyeZone Stores, both new and existing, needed a new visual presence in order to make its collaboration with Zeiss visible. Based on the Zeiss Shop Design the Architecture was adapted to the market in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Katar and also to the special needs of the EyeZone Chain combined with an architectural and contemporary new design by Labor Weltenbau, Stuttgart.
The Death House museum is one of the UNESCO‘s World Heritage Sites in the town of Eisleben in Germany. It centres around the life of Luther, a key protagonist in the reform of Christianity in the sixteenth century and was extensively renovated and extended into a museum complex by Von M, Stuttgart. It shows permanent exhibitions as well as temporary.
