As official Academy for continuing and international education attached to the RWTH Aachen University, the International Academy cooperates closely with various institutes of the university to offer student programmes especially designed for an international target group. While the International Academy is in charge of an intense extracurricular supporting programme, the scientific responsibility of all programmes is held by the RWTH Aachen University’s institutes – leading to an official degree awarded by the RWTH Aachen University itself.
Our certificate courses are designed for academic professionals who wish to obtain deeper knowledge in their fields and who seek to share daily challenges in their enterprises with fellow professionals. We offer academic courses throughout, lead by top lecturers from the RWTH Aachen University and by experts in their fields.

March 2017 at RWTH Aachen University (Germany). Cyber-Physical Systems for Intelligent Robotics
Certificate Short Course: Cyber-Physical Systems for Intelligent Robotics 24.-28.4.2017 at RWTH Aachen (Germany) This certification program on CPS and Intelligent Robotics (CPS-IR) provides methodical (a systematic toolbox of concepts and approaches) and technological (knowledge and implementation solutions) skills. Further, you will learn how to identify application areas of CPS as well as robotics in your company and how to encounter technological challenges with suitable methods. Due to the increasing amount of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Intelligent Robots in modern production facilities, the demand for experts that are able to design and control these systems is rising. CPS combine “cyber” capabilities (computation and communication) with “physical” capabilities (physical processes such as the ability to move). The overall field of designing and controlling these systems is vast with plenty methods from the field of communication technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence. The certification program CPS-IR responds to these challenges by providing training of the most promising methods and technologies.
