Le Puy Notre Dame is an attractive working French village with a 12th century cathedral, noted as a Petite Village de Charme.  Over 60 vignerons operate in the village.  The village has two restaurants, a boulangerie, épicérie, pharmacie and numerous chambre d'hotes.  A large number of the Loire chateau are reachable within a few hours drive including Angers, Villandry, Amboise, Chenonceau, Brézé, Brissac, Oiron, Thouars, Tours, Langeais, Bougé, Chinon, Azay-les-Rideau, Montreuil-Bellay, and Saumur.  A wide range of quality restaurants are available nearby.
