Chez Le Bos
Description
Chez Le Bos is the home in France that Ali and Anton Heseltine have retired to. We are in the middle of a major renovation project here. The gite, which was a tobacco drying barn, is done and we are now concentrating on the house.

The extension which replaces the old garage is starting to take shape.

The stonework has now been pointed, the blockwork around the openings has been replaced/refurbished and the scaffolding has been taken down, ready to be used on the extension.
The next major task on the main house before the building of the extension, is to have the stone walls sand blasted clean, the stonework tidied up and the joints filled. We can then have the new windows and doors fitted so that we can start fitting out the inside.

The final two new openings have been made in the house. These are the window for the kitchen and the door between the master bedroom (which has not been built yet) and the dressing room.

The major work in the combles is now complete - new roof, new dormer windows, new velux windows, new end wall window, new sub floor and joists. All that is left to do are new walls, new bathrooms, new toilets, new ceilings, new electrics and the painting and decorating! ;-) The photos show what the combles looked like when we bought the house and what they look like now.
