Anton, a young French guy, came here for 24 hours today and was rewarded with this Personal Best 49lb 6oz Mirror Carp. Well done Anton.

Our Shower Block has now been refurbished and turned into our Angler's Cabin, which is included in our Drive & Survive package. We are very pleased with the new look and hope it's a hit with our anglers.

What a difference a week makes. Last Monday, we had snow, yesterday brilliant sunshine. Willy came again yesterday (Monday) to fish for the day and did very well. He caught 7 carp but lost a really big one which he nearly got into the net. Next time Willy, next time.

Don't know who is more crazy!! Willy came here this morning to fish. It's freezing cold and snowing but it didn't deter him. After about 45 minutes, he caught this lovely Mirror Carp. I then had to go and take a photo and I can tell you, it is cold. Willy was made up as this was the first fish he had caught in the snow. Good on you Willy.

We are having a lot of work done around the Lake during this winter time. It was getting a bit closed in, due to the smaller trees growing and growing. They are now being thinned out so the sun and wind can get through to the Lake and surrounding banks. You can now see the beautiful Canadian Pine Trees across the Lake, which were hidden by lots of other trees. At the same time, we are also having the Anglers Accommodation (new words for the Shower Block) totally updated. Most importantly to us, the copper pipes which used to be outside are now being replaced with plastic pipes and are inside, so no more burst pipes in the winter. The inside is being ripped out and new, modern units, showers etc are being fitted. The Anglers Accommodation is still part of the Drive & Survive package.
