For one very scary moment, I thought the cupboard fronts to the guardian's cottage would be a chalkboard finish 😰. Then I started to put the wax on and wow, it's gorgeous. A lovely luxury finish. I'm so excited. Finally I'm about to embark on an Annie Sloan make over on the gatehouse! It is such a pretty French cottage but needs a little love, to make it a special place for our guardians of the Chateau. They need a touch of luxury and sparkle too, doesn't everyone!! After all, they don't holiday there, they make it their home. Here goes, I'll post the end result!

I love the local Brocante every third Sunday in the month in Chinon, it is the simply the best way to spend a sunny morning. Antique traders and stalls from the local boutique shops line the Vienne river in Chinon under the most beautiful pollarded trees. You can't help but bag yourself a little bit of France or a luxury find or two. A treasure I just couldn't pass up, these two chic chairs were just too irresistible. I'm sure I can find them a place in the chateau for our guests to enjoy.
