Saaronniemen Saukot Ry since 1999 All are welcome to our winter swimming center. That's our motto. A little bit of history about our club. It's called "Saaronniemen Saukot" and It was established in 1999. Three years later (2002) we moved to our current place called "Tammiranta". Little by little we have repaired and renovated our mainbuilding, two saunas and other buildings too. Today we have nearly 430 members and they all are from different social groups. Weather you are a student, doctor, teacher, employee, unemployee, retired, manager etc. In sauna and in cold water all of us are equal. First when you arrive to our center there is the mainbuilding and you can enter and pay 4€ (members 2€) for bathing. After you can go to sauna which is situated down on the shore. Dressig rooms are next to the sauna, mens on the left and womens on the right hand side. It is highly recommended for you to go first into water and after "dipping" to the sauna. Don't forget to cool of on the terrace, drink something and enjoy a splendid view of Ruissalo. When you have reached the Euforia it's time to end bathing. The last time when you get up from water instead of the sauna go straight ahead to the dressing room. Dry yourself properly and put warm clothes on. Now it's time to visit the mainbuilding again. There is a caffeterian where you can buy tee, coffee, coffeebread, limonade in very reasonable price.
