Description
Private, family owned restaurant Restaurant Copas y Tapas is a small family-owned and -run restaurant in Helsinki. We invite you to enjoy our highly seasonal, tasty menu and friendly, welcoming service in a warm and comfortable environment.
In the kitchen we combine mediterranean influences with the best of Scandinavian and seasonal produce available. We favor small local producers and make use of wild herbs, berries and mushrooms when in season. As the heart of our kitchen we have a Josper charcoal oven in which we prepare our constantly changing main courses. We also temper a wide selection of around 12-17 cheeses every day.
Our wide wine list is built with wines from independent and family-owned Spanish wineries. We feel that wine is part of every good meal and have priced the wines so that anyone can afford to enjoy quality wine.

Viinintekijäillallisemme jatkuvat helmikuussa kun Juanjo Piñol saapuu kertomaan tilastaan ja viineistään. Celler Piñol on Terra Altan arvostetuimpia tuottajia, ja tila on toiminut pioneerina lähes kadonneen paikallislajike Morenillon elvyttämisessä. Tilaisuus järjestetään maanantaina 6.2.2017. Merry Christmas everybody! Thank you for the year. We will be closed during Christmas, opening again next Tuesday, December 27th, business as usual all week. Enjoy the holiday and see you back in a few days. There is still some room for the New Years Eve.

Alex Bautista esittelee meille seitsemän viiniä talojen valikoimasta, Turó d'en Motan ja Particularin mukaan lukien. Maistelun ohessa nautimme myös viiden ruokalajin menun, jonka suunnittelimme viinien ympärille. Tilaisuuden hinta ruokineen ja viineineen on 125€. Recaredo Winemaker Dinner | Ravintola Copas y Tapas
We feel honored to once again host a Winemaker dinner from one of our all time favorite producers! On Monday, November 7th Alex Bautista from Recaredo and Celler Credo will join us to present their beautiful wines. Being pioneers with biodynamic viticulture, long cellaring with natural cork and zero dosage, Recaredo have a unique style in all of DO Cava. During the evening we will be tasting their top cuvées, including Turó d'en Mota, Particular and Estrany amongst others, paired with a 5-course menu designed to complement the wines. The event is priced at 125€ per person, including 7 wines and the 5-course menu to match them.

The time for mushrooms. Today got some black trumpet mushrooms. These will go to the dryer. Next week there is a promise of some sheep polypore mushrooms (lampaankääpä). Let's see what Kimmo and the guys will make of those.

It might not be summer quite yet, but we're almost there!
It's April 30th once again, which means it's been six years since we first opened Copas y Tapas! Our sincere thanks to all of you who have visited and supported us along these years. We now have all of the three Xarel·los from Gramona available! The classic Font Jui fermented and aged in foudres, Ovum, made in egg-shaped concrete vats and amphorae and Roent made with pink-skinned Xarel·lo Rojo grapes. All delicious, each with their own personality!
When we started almost six years ago, 90% of our guests were women. Many of you have stayed loyal even to this day. Thank you all of you lovely ladies that make life worth living.
