See you then or any other day - just contact@nilt.com and we will put the kettle on
What's new in optical plastic products? 4 important trends from the Polymer Optics conference in Aachen, Germany 1. New possibilities for lightning by directing light using microstructured films 2. The Industry is clearly moving towards replacing bulky lenses with flat optics based on micro- or nanostructured optics 3. Advances in manufacturing enables low cost, high fidelity optics based on micro and nanostructures 4. Optical coatings are more challenging on polymer optics compared to optics made in glass - This promotes the adoption of AR coatings based on nanostructures
You'r probably not at Polymer Optics Days - unless you are a polymer manufacturing nerd like us. But if you still want to know what masters with unique patterns can do for your product - we are more than eager to share this with you, just contact@nilt.com
A great read about complex nanostructures and how you can make low cost nanoimprint yourself. https://mailchi.mp/0b66b6ec115e/nanonews-niltechnology-1185153
Meet NILT at NIL Industrial Day on 8-9 March in Vienna, Austria. Our awesome engineers Dr. Ilja Czolkos and Dr. Maksim Zalkovskij will be at the event. http://profactor.at/nilaustria/index.php?id=program01200 Dr. Maksim Zalkovskij will also present the nanoimprint work for the space application in the EU Horizon 2020 project “META-REFLECTOR”. http://profactor.at/nilaustria/index.php?id=652 Don't miss it!

Nanotechnology in space. For the past two years, we at NIL Technology ApS (NILT) have participated in the EU Horizon 2020 project “META-REFLECTOR”. In this project we have successfully developed a nanoimprint based approach to realise next generation flexible optical solar reflectors (OSR) based on a novel meta-material. The first results are recently published in ACS Photonics: https://lnkd.in/es6gv2v and Dr. Maksim Zalkovskij, NILTs main researcher in the project, will present the work at the NIL Industrial Day 8-9 March in Vienna [ https://lnkd.in/eBmDtGp ] NILT is also proud to be mentioned in the latest publication by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education named “Ny Dansk Rumteknologi” [ https://lnkd.in/eSmZEye ] – see page 53. (Unfortunately, it is only available in Danish.) If you have any ideas for commercial activities or research projects related to space and in need of advanced micro- and nanostructures, we look forward to hearing from you at contact@nilt.com
Meet NILT at SPIE Photonics West 2018 in San Francisco - 30 January - 2 February. Find us at booth #5651 or let us know if you wish to arrange a meeting or receive our visit in the U.S. within a week before/after the event. https://lnkd.in/ex3JeeR
Ever thought about nanostructuring your graphene? DTU researchers have used the CNI v2.0 tool to pattern graphene layers on the nano-scale in order to create an efficient gas sensor. The work is published in Applied Physics Letter http://aip.scitation.org/doi/full/10.1063/1.5010923
Check out the newly released Wire Grid Polarizer (WGP) standard stamps with 50 nm or 70 nm half pitch. Standard stamp comes in size of 48 mm x 52 mm, but we can supply up to 300 mm diameter wafer size. https://www.nilt.com/772/wire-grid-polarizer
This week Alicia Johansson presented our µ-fludics and lab-on-a-chip technologies at the XXVI International Materials Research Congress www.mrs.org/imrc-2017 in Cancun, Mexico. If you would like to know more about development and manufacturing of all-plastic µ-fluidics and lab-on-a-chip systems you can read more here www.nilt.com/loc or contact us www.nilt.com/default.asp?Action=Details&Item=385
