Thank you for taking part in My Walk of Life Marathon!

It's the end of the day, and the end of September! That means My Walk of Life Marathon has come to an end 😭 Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for! The 2020 #MyWalkOfLife team have together achieved.. drumroll please... 197 team-members, 4,549.5 miles walked, and... £29,646 raised for the RUH!! This is incredible, and we're blown away by you all!! 🤩 Please enjoy a compilation of all the wonderful memories you've shared with us over the past 30 days - we hope they stay with you forever 👟 Thank you walkers - now it's time for a well earned relax! ☕️🍰🍾

The day has finally come… tomorrow our #MakeItGrow2020 launches and we could not be more grateful for the amazing line-up of businesses that have signed up this year. The funds raised by these local companies will do so much to support our hospital in the coming months – and for that, we say a huge thank you! With the Challenge officially beginning this week, local businesses are getting ready to turn their £20 starting fund into as much as they can to support our patients at RUH Bath and we couldn't be more proud of our community of supporters 💙

It's the final Monday of #MyWalkofLife! 😱😭 It's been such a fantastic month & we're really sad to see it come to an end. Today, we want to give a special mention and thank you to Clare Jones, a Nursery Nurse on NICU, who signed herself and 4 others on the ward up to make their miles matter this September. 👟 The NICU ward looks after newborn babies and families, making sure they are all fully supported during a very scary and anxious time for them. Clare spends her shifts feeding the babies, giving medicines and fluids, and making sure they are clean and comfortable. Clare and others on NICU spend their days helping parents learn to care for their child, as they believe strongly in Family Centred Care, and want to empower parents to look after their baby with as little interaction as possible. What an incredible job to do 😍 The NICU ward are beyond amazing, and touch so many of our hearts whether we have experienced treatment there or not. A huge well done and thank you to Julia & John for walking a total of 30.8 miles and for raising £362 for RUH Bath! 👏 This is such an achievement and we've loved seeing photos of all the beautiful places you've walked through on the #MyWalkOfLife Facebook Group. Julia said, "We found beautiful villages we’d not visited in 30 years and felt really supported not just by those who financially supported us but by The Forever Friends Appeal team and others who are doing their own Walk of Life Marathon!" 💙

🥁🥁Drum roll please for our next competitor in #MakeItGrow2020...🥁🥁 We're delighted to be welcoming Bridges High Performance Engineering Technology to the Challenge, which kicks off next Thursday 1st October 2020 to raise funds for patients at RUH Bath. Bath Half Marathon
