For the last several days we've discussed the aromas associated with Christmas and New Year celebrations, shared our opinions about favourite fragrances featuring these aromas, and gathered ideas about enjoying them at home, in the bath, and in festive decor. Mandarin orange is a juicy citrus fruit also known as mandarin or mandarine. The botanical name for this tropical and sub-tropical plant is Citrus reticulate. Mandarins originate from China, where they have been historically regarded as a symbol of good fortune, having a significant sacral meaning in Chinese New Year celebrations. There are several different varieties of this fruit and some of the most popular ones are the Mandarin (from China), Tangerine (named after Tangier, a city in northern Morocco, where the mandarins were first imported from China), Dancy, Clementine and Satsuma (from Japan). Mandarin essential oil is equally valued in perfume manufacturing where it makes a great addition to floral compositions and colognes. Mandarin essential oil is distinguished in a fragrant composition by its sensual and floral, neroli-like trail. This uplifting and sensual scent blends nicely with other citrus oils as well as with spice oils such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. In terms of aroma, it is very sweet, fruity and citrusy with a light floral undertone. The scent is very relaxing and calming, and suitable for mystical fantasy fragrances. Mandarin's notes You can fill in -Montale Paris Deep Rose, Aoud Lagoon, Boise Fruite, Pure Gold, Black Aoud, Orange Flowers, Widian II, Evody Fleur D'oranger, Keiko Mecheri Tarifa, M.Micallef Ete, Isabey Gardenia.

We're continuing the discussion about scents of Christmas and New Year! The first article from this series was about spruce (how about other conifers? Let's talk about them in the near future...), and today I'd like to examine maybe the most wintery of all ingredients. What do you think about when hearing the word "cinnamon"? I suppose, the first assotiations are heavenly-scented, brown, woody sticks; or devilish buns from Cinnabon (oh, 1,200 kcal per bun? What a pity!); or homemade mulled wine and Xmas cookies? Preparing cinnamon for sale is a very long process: after 2 years from planting, farmers have to cut off the stalk (which gives birth to new stems). A year after that, (and then regularly) young branches are cut, peeled of their leaves, and producers clean them from the top layer of the cortex. The inner layer is usually divided into strips and left to dry - after this, cinnamon sticks can be bought at any market in just about any country. The essential oil of cinnamon is usually distilled with steam or by CO2 extraction, and the process is not so simple: after contact with the air, cinnamal (cinnamon's principal odorant, in 50 up to 75%) may oxidize and convert into cinnamic acid. Quality oil smells soft, spicy, sweet and not too loud; 1 kg of cinnamon bark turns out 5-10 ml of oil. We have a big collection of fragrances with cinnamon: Widian Black Collection I and V, MDCI Les Indes Galantes, AlysonOldoini Cuir D'Encens, Montale Vanille Absolu, Evody Noir D'Orient, Isabey La Route D'Emeraude, Houbigant Paris Fougere Royale... Welcome!!!

Welcome to a new series of articles dedicated to discussion about trees, plants and spices that create a festive mood and explain fragrances related to the Christmas holiday. Spruce is perhaps the most famous of all Christmas trees; it usually takes its place this time of year in living rooms or gardens and is a type of conifer that many of have seen on classic holiday postcards. In fact, who hasn't scraped a finger while trying to dress up spruce's bristled leaves? The scent of spruce is rich, balsamic and heavenly and can be compared with the aroma of fir, but the spruce is more intense and resinous, and the aroma is not as volatile (in fact, both of them are equal in fugacity). To make an essential oil from spruce, producers often choose a Norwegian variety, widespread all over Europe, because other varieties can't guarantee the high quality of seepage: for example, the Ayan spruce offers only a small amount of oil, and the Jezo offers very little bornyl acetate, the colorless liquid that produces the piny scent. Producers use a steam distillation method to extract fragrant compounds and the result is only 15-20 ml for each kilo of needles and branches. There's a frosty touch of spruce in The Vagabond Prince's Enchanted Forest, Katana Atelier Flou, Royal Vintage M.Micallef, La Liturgie des Heures Jovoy Paris

Dear friends. today we would like to introduce you Pure Addiction- Paul Emilein Disturbing, fascinating, powerful and gourmand. That is the addiction of our desires. The excitement that invade us opens spirited notes of cloves, cardamom, basil and bergamot, a heart beat pounding the beats of chords of Spainish cistus, cedar, sage and precious wood that leaves us to vanish on a set of amber, patchouli and white musk.

Dear customers, we would like to show the beauty of Panorama. Olfactive Studio. The bewitching dichotomy of our beloved hometown of Los Angeles has always been the interplay of open space and congestion, concrete and meadow, modernity and nature. Green and wild, yet spicy and complex, Panorama is the fragrance of a true 21st Century urban jungle. Opening with a delightfully surprising accord of hot and spicy wasabi balanced against mouthwatering bergamot, Panorama immediately announces itself as strikingly avant-garde, and yet lush green notes of fig and bamboo leaf merge the modern to the timeless, soothing its contradictions into something wonderfully unique. As warm notes of myrrh and resins emerge, the composition becomes even more full-bodied, generous and unexpected, opening the olfactory imagination and igniting the senses. Like a Frank Lloyd Wright house perched atop a woody hill, nature and design fit seamlessly together, engaging in a collaborative act of dynamic beauty that must be experienced to be understood. We couldn't think of a better tribute to a megalopolis where nature is never too far away. Panorama Notes Wasabi Accord, Fig Leaf, Bamboo Leaf, Bergamot, Lemon, Galbanum, Cardamom, Violet Leaf, Fresh Cut Grass, Myrrhe Absolute, Fir Balsam, Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Musks, Labdanum

"Odors have a power of persuasion stronger than that of words, appearances, emotions, or will. The persuasive power of an odor cannot be fended off, it enters into us like breath into our lungs, it fills us up, imbues us totally. There is no remedy for it...'' Dear our custumers. today we would like to talk about fragrances for fall. Fall. For many of us there is a time to update our wardrobe, choose a new pair of shoes, accessories and, possibly, new parfum. Few months ago we chose parfums with fresh, citrusy, ozone, sea and juicy notes. But in a rainy fall evening or in a sunny day, full of golden and autumnal hues, such notes will be not relevant. The colder it becomes outside, and as a result - the warmer will be a parfum. Although, we have no an universal algorithm selection autumn fragrances, because the individuality of each woman as well as men has not been canceled. Beautiful half of humanity, those who prefer for light fragrances, in autumn we recommend to choose a little brighter than in summer. Caramel, fruit, berries, jasmine, peony - all of them can dominate in the notes of fall bouquet. You can also safely choose good rich perfume. Lavender, saffron, bergamot, oak moss, musk ... A floral-spicy, woody scents, and in addition, fragrances, called fern - is just right for the autumn pore. For men, in the fall we can recommend compositions with an emphasis on such notes: pine, juniper berries, black pepper, citrus. These aromas create harmony between their host and heavy gray sky of autumn or the rustle of dry leaves underfoot. Autumn - a romantic and magnificent time. Properly selected flavors accentuate your charm in this unique aura of autumn.
