There’s also a bank, well-stocked supermarkets and some great little craft shops where you can watch weavers at work on traditional looms or even join in a ceramic workshop. Getting back to nature, just outside the village hidden among the hills, you’ll find the entrance to a complex cave system with subterranean caverns filled with jaw-dropping stalagmites and stalactites – don’t miss it. If you simply want to chill out, the seclusion of nearby Lara beach is a sight for sore eyes with not a building in view – just soft sugary sands and a laid-back taverna.
