[NOVOSTI - CROSS KAO IZBORNI PREDMET] Stigla nam je obavijest iz refarade da se studenti 5. godine ipak ne trebaju javiti jer imaju samo jedan izborni predmet pa će ih oni sami automatski upisati pod CROSS 13. Studenti koji nisu još birali izborni predmet ipak ne moraju doći do referade već prilikom službenog biranja izbornih predmeta biraju jedan predmet manje.

[CROSS 13 as an elective course] Registrations for CROSS 13 as an elective course will open on Wednesday, December 21, at 18:00 – TODAY. You can register at http://cross.mef.hr/en You have the opportunity to attend lectures of professors and doctors who daily use the most modern methods of treatment and the latest technology in the medical field. Their achievements and innovations have advanced the world of biomedicine. You can take part in interesting workshops that will further expand your knowledge and enhance your skills.

[CROSS 13 as an elective course] Registrations for CROSS 13 as an elective course will open on Wednesday, December 21, at 18:00. You can register at http://cross.mef.hr/en Better be fast, because the number of students who can take CROSS as one of their electives is limited to 40 per year (3rd - 6th) for MSC and 40 in total for MSE (all years). If a student has already selected their electives and wants to switch one of them with CROSS, they need to inform the MSE Office. CROSS 13 will take place from April 18 to April 21, 2017 at the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine (Šalata 3, Zagreb). [CROSS 13 - Innovations in Health] Technology, new methods of treatment and diagnostics, along with other biomedical innovations are all an evergrowing factor in every doctor's everyday work. New discoveries and the development of science are a result of us trying to find an answer to the challenges and obstacles which medicine faces us with. The real beauty of technological advancement is that it helps us reach our full potential; it opens up an endless number of possibilities and, with further studying and investing, it makes medicine ever more efficient. Thanks to the multidisciplinary approach, by working together we can raise the quality of life to a higher level. Our knowledge and experience, with the precision offered by robots technology, will allow us to do our jobs even better. Some of the new possibilities created by modern technology are artificial cartilages and vertebrae, created by 3D printers, robotic neuronavigation (offers high precision, thus making procedures safer and faster), growing endoprotheses (a revolutionary advancement in tumour treatment) and an artificial heart, which has already lengthened the lives of many people who needed a heart transplantation. At this year's congress, we would like to present some of the greatest accomplishments of modern medicine and have therefore decided upon the topic of CROSS 13 - „Innovations in Health“.
