Workshops for dancers, actors, performers in Zadar, Croatia from 6th to 19th of August 2018
STREAM ZADAR, organised by the Zadar Dance Ensemble, is an educational platform dedicated to contemporary dance and theatre or, more specifically, to broaden the skills and virtuosity in various performing disciplines. It has been conceived as a series of specific workshops which complement the contemporary dance practice itself, as well as the conscious body-centred activities in general. The systematic approach of these workshops is based on somatic practices, such as the Klein Technique, the development of choreographic skills and research processes, and workshops for professionals and the general public dedicated to contemporary dance and theatre reporting and following.
Thanks to its contemporary dance tradition and educational practice, Zadar has been chosen as the ideal host of the programme of the STREAM ZADAR platform. By implementing its programme, the platform rounds up the Zadar Dance Summer programme consisting of workshops and performances. Workshops will be held in the Zadar Dance Ensemble venue from 16th to 29th August, the date reserved for the opening of Monoplay, a contemporary dance festival dedicated to solo dance.
