The landscape of Pag Island reminds of the surface of the Moon and which is almost entirely covered in sea salt that bura wind brings in from the Velebit Channel – Pag Island. The simplest way to reach Pag is from Zadar, across the Pag bridge. You can also arrive by ferry from Prizna mainland port to Žigljen ferry port on Pag. We chose the first option. Southern part of the island is covered in high, dense rush and our ride across the island felt like riding through a jungle. When we managed to see through, we see stone wasteland devastated by strong bura from Velebit.
