Located in the Qiantan International Business District in Pudong New Area, Wellington College International Shanghai’s campus represents an extension of Wellington’s renowned campus in
Berkshire, England.
Wellington College International Shanghai will open in August 2014 for boys and girls aged 2 to 10 in the Junior School, and from 11 to 15, both boarders and day students, in the Senior School.
Wellington College International Shanghai’s curriculum is based on the British national curriculum and our unique model of education, the Eight Aptitudes.
The Shanghai campus will offer the very best in educational facilities, with, amongst many, four teaching buildings, the most advanced classrooms, IT facilities and laboratories, a state-of-the-art theatre, tennis, basketball and squash courts, football, rugby and cricket pitches, and a 25m swimming pool.

The Master's Voice Wellington UK - Julian Thomas The new calendar year has begun and Wellington has sprung back into life with its typical vibrancy and colour. We returned to receive the exciting news that 31 Wellingtonians have been offered places at Oxford or Cambridge Universities. This figure – more than ever before – reflects many outstanding individual achievements. I am sure though that each of these successful students would pay tribute to the many others who have been involved in this long journey. Well done to them all. Gaining a place at these, and other fine universities, requires genuine intellectual curiosity and an ability to think beyond the confines of the curriculum. These are characteristics that lie at the heart of a Wellington education so I am not surprised to see so many successes. I would like to congratulate all of our exceptional students who went through the demanding but ultimately rewarding Oxbridge application process. Each of them will have benefitted hugely from the experience. Whether offered a place or not, we are proud of them all.
