Yang Style Tai Chi Class

Tai Chi Class will be held on Jan 10th in YMCA Saskatoon Tai Chi is the martial art based on the Taoist philosophy concept of Yin Yang (阴阳). The concept of Yin Yang is about opposite energy in unison, balance, motion and flow. Tai Chi uses this concept to form a motion meditation for the mind and body. Tai Chi Martial Arts was created by Zhang Sanfeng almost 800 years ago in China. It is typically done with slow, steady movements, which help practitioners to relax and to feel the flow of energy within their bodies. The movements are large enough to foster a sense of exuberance and freedom.It is good for anyone interested in relaxing their body, gaining a stronger mind/body connection, more healthy and achieving high levels of fitness. There are 3 parts of the class, Warm up and stretch; Stance meditation(Qi Gong); Tai Chi Quan. The class will take 2 hours, please make sure you are in comfortable dress.
