Service Recognition - Congratulations to two of our team members reaching five year career service milestones. Both individuals were recently recognized at our Annual General Meeting held at the Ukrainian Hall Wednesday April 12th. Jamie Hlady started at our gas bar location and moved to the bakery deli as a team member in January 2015, a few months after the new food store opened. Zina Riou came to us from Carrot River Co-op in June 2014 and is the team leader for our gas bar location.

Had a question last week with regards to our new recently installed ovation pumps, in particular, pay@pump payment card processing. The question: When I key in a maximum dollar value for my fill, (example, if I preset a pump to $100 and only fill to $50 in fuel), is the preset amount (or any amount) frozen in my account or held for a certain time period. How this works - Once a pre-auth for $100 is processed after fueling the vehicle, internally, moneris immediately sends a release of the remainder of the $50 to the issuing bank. Moneris and the merchant do not control how long the issuing bank takes to then post the transaction to a cardholders card. It is up to the bank at that point to release any unused funds. We would suggest customers having concerns on their card hold times contact their bank to discuss. Lastly, when using pay@pump, be as realistic as possible, only use $100 or "fill" if your fuel tank will take close to that amount. Hope that helps and happy motoring!
