Excellent job by Mayor Comiskey on this one. I still have no idea why our major centres do not invest in waste to energy technology which has become much cleaner over the decades. Burying our garbage is an outdated and environmentally non-friendly practice.

6 Reasons Your Agent Wants You Pre-Approved Before Showing You Homes

I urge all buyers to get pre-approved before contacting any real estate agent or brokerage. If you are just open house browsing, don't worry about it. But for those that are serious about searching, it is a must! Be aware though that "pre-approval" doesn't always mean you are actually approved for a mortgage. Sounds strange right? It mainly shows what you should be able to afford and locks down an interest % for a specific time period. When you find a home to make an offer on, you then return to your bank or mortgage broker to hammer down the details. This is where your mortgage specialist will require more of your financial information and credit checks. You may have great credit, and a great job, but if you are financially over-extended with new car payments, credit card debt, etc., there is a good possibility you won't be able to obtain a mortgage. The key is to get your financial house in order first and find a good mortgage broker or specialist that will work with you and your goals. (I happen to know a few...)
