Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home
Description
Our office hours are noted above; cemetery is always open.
Since 1951, families of Winnipeg and the surrounding area have come to know Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens for its beautiful park-like setting and solid reputation for caring and professional guidance. Our 89 acres are dotted with mature trees, benches and colourful flower gardens, featuring soothing ponds. All creating a peaceful atmosphere for loved ones to gather and reminisce.
The added convenience of our on-site funeral home, constructed in 1983, has ensured that Chapel Lawn will continue to meet the evolving needs of today's families from one beautiful full-service location.
Although Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens is pleased to work with any funeral home you choose, consider the excellent facilities offered for your convenience right on our own cemetery grounds. Choosing the comfort and privacy of Chapel Lawn's on-site funeral home will simplify your planning process, save money and eliminate the need for friends and family to travel between funeral home and cemetery.

Construction for our new building
Today Chapel Lawn hosted in partnership with Manitoba Brain Injury Association, Manitoba Public Insurance, RCMP, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, Winnipeg Police, and STARS, our annual Mock Car Crash Event. We welcomed multiple schools that join us to learn what happens when someone is texting while driving and speeds through a stop sign killing a mother, injuring a father and critically injuring their baby. After witnessing how the tragedy of this event unfolded, they were then invited to the funeral of the mother where her casket was present, a celebrant officiated the service and a video of her life was played. Thank you to all who also gave a personal reflection of how they are impacted on the job due to distracted driving and for being a part of this event. Thank you to those who attended and we hope that you learned and understand just how dangerous distracted driving is.
