The sun came out and the crowds of families arrived in Polson Park to feast on smokies, s'mores and hot chocolate while playing games, meeting Carnival Royalty, Jopo and Carnival Cops.

A roast beef dinner greeted the guests at the Halina Centre, followed by an evening of dancing to the music of Route 66.

Two hours of building Lego projects, games and lunch at Vernon Teach and Learn kept twenty young participants busy.

A serious competition to earn the title of Top Chili Maker in addition to People's Choice and Chili Spirit Awards as downtown restaurants dished out their unique takes on chili.

The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Auxiliary Society hosted the popular luncheon at Trinity United. Kevin Rothwell MC'd the Gala, keeping the afternoon going with bad jokes and quizzes while the Chili Creakers provided the music for dancing.

The Vernon Library was transformed into a Queen of Hearts maze with the children using flamingo mallets to tap the balls through the many obstacles.

Classic rock from MACE brought the dancers to the floor, with almost everyone dressed in the Wonderland themed costumes.

A Mad Hatter's Tea Party, with Boogie Nights DJ pumping out the tunes for dancing, a Wonderland inspired concession and a photo booth for Wonderland memories.
