Operation Shalev

Operation Shalev What is "OPERATION SHALEV"? Currently, Marikina, which is located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines - and is one of the cities that makes up Metro Manila - has been affected by severe rains and flooding. Many of the residents of this area have been forced to sleep on their roofs or move to heavily crowed evacuation centers. Some have experienced damage to their homes due to this situation. In addition access to fresh water has been cut off and there is limited access to food. OPERATION SHALEV hopes to raise funds and awareness for the people affected by this flood by providing fresh water, daily warm meals and spiritual comfort in this uncertain time for many. What Does "Shalev" Mean? "Shalev" is the Hebrew word for " calm, tranquility". We are believing and trust God that His peace and His calm will be upon the people of Marikina as well as for there to be an immediate stop to the flooding and the monsoon conditions that are currently being experienced. We are also believing that there will be peace in these turbulent times for the people in the areas affected. We are standing upon the Word in Mark 8:39 where Jesus commands the water to be still by literally saying, "Peace, Be Still" which is what we are commanding to happen with the flooding and the monsoon, as well as spiritually in the hearts and minds of the families affected.
