The 2017 CrossFit Open has come to an end. This has honestly been one of the best experiences of my life. As I sit back and reflect on the last 5 weeks I am completely overwhelmed. You guys seriously KICKED ASS and I am so proud of each one of you. However this week I have to give my spirit award to 2 unbelievable ladies. Amber Jordan you are amazing! Your dedication, determination and drive to be outstanding is incredible. I know first hand how hard you have worked for the last 365 days to get to this point. You never quit and give it 110% every single day. You continually inspire to be better. You spend countless hours studying, learning and then doing. You pass this knowledge onto everyone and we all love you for it. You completely crushed every single workout and I am so proud of you. Stephanie Legge, you have just recently started your CrossFit journey and everyday you continue to improve and motivate others. The quality I most admire in you is your willingness to make yourself vulnerable. Every week you poured your heart in soul into your workouts. You got uncomfortable and pushed even harder. You struggled and practice tough skills when know one is around. You bring sunshine into this gym and show everyone the benefits of CrossFit. We all benefit from your heart and selflessness. I can't thank you ladies enough for everything you do at CrossFit Stettler!!! I also want to send a HUGE shout out and thank you to everyone for the money collected. Food Bank Drive Support your favorite Crossfit Stettler Open team and donate food for the food bank Each team has a box set up in the gym (if you are unsure which box, Just be tabatta is a solid choice) We will be collecting food until Saturday at 11 ***update**** Just got the go ahead that we can donate fresh fruits and veggies . Yay!!! But please donate items that last longer, apples, oranges, carrots for example . Just got a message from the food bank, they are very excited to accept all food items but if you are looking for ideas they are in need of Peanut Butter Canned vegetables Rice Canned Fruit Pasta Cereal Tea Coffee Soaps and feminine products **They are pretty stocked up on soups and bean items at this time.

17.4 was the workout of nerves. This workout seemed to stress everyone! Our coaches spirit award for this week is going to 2 people, Brad Syson and Jack Brososky. Brad excelled this week completing 27 handstand push-ups at the end of a VERY exhausting work out and Jack completed 33 push press!!!! These 2 athletes showed consistent HARD WORK throughout the entire 13 minutes, They both got extremely uncomfortable and continued to push harder. As coaches we see these athletes train hard everyday and we are so pumped that it paid off in this workout.
