Ice update on Chamcook Lake: there is now a hundred meter swath of open water from the North end of the lake to O'Dell Island. The open water appears to be a broader area further south, it is hard to tell from my perspective. The loons have found the open water already, I guess they must have glided in this morning, since it wasn't open last night. I could see them splashing and hear their calls this morning, the first time this year. From Pat Mowatt's FB Page, Thanks.
