This is what we woke to this morning. How we would have loved it in Feb & March so we didn't have to postpone dogsledding clients! April 23rd...not so much!

Had some great helpers with feeding yesterday. Our veteran dog handler friends and their little ones in training. The dogs were very patient waiting for their food!

Finally got more snow and some cool temps to get folks out on sleds. This couple were up from St. Louis, Missori to see a couple of Oilers games for the weekend. [a friend from St. Louis plays for the oilers] They added a half day of Dogsledding to round out their Canadian visit! Here they are running the sleds themselves.

Great way to spend a sunny Boxing Day! Freshly packed trails and finally on sleds! A fun run for Jeff, Juli and Jill. Next 5 days are filled with clients. Then Juli is back to Vet school.

Well that's more like it. A little snow this past week for the dogs! Still runnning with the ATV but every little bit helps until we get to the point when we have enough of a snow base for the sleds to have control with the brake.

Had to say good-bye to our sweet little Nikki this week. Such a steady team dog for 12 years, who got along with everyone and happy to train the younger dogs. After feeding Tuesday night her back end collapsed suddenly and x-rays showed lower spinal damage...paralyzed. Over 30 years with sled dogs and there is always something new! We will miss her in the team this winter.
