RHCC Frosty Spiel is back on! :)
The Richmond Hill Curling Club has won the 2017 Travelers Curling Club Championship Provincials and will represent Ontario at the Canadian Championship at the Cataraqui Golf & Country Club in Kingston, ON from November 20-25! The RHCC team of (L-R) Jon St. Denis (skip), Steve Anderson (vice), Peter Laidlaw (2nd) and Jordan Keon (lead) won the Zone qualifier with a 4-0 record and won the Provincials with a 6-0 record, including a comeback extra end win in the final vs Team Arndt from Dixie Curling Club. Team Ontario for Canadians will be Jon St. Denis (skip), Steve Anderson (vice), Jordan Keon (2nd) and Curtis Samoy (lead), as Peter will be out of the country for the week at a family wedding. Good luck also to club skip Mike Anderson as he represents Ontario at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship November 12-18. This will be the 3rd time the RHCC Men have represented Ontario at the Canadian Curling Club Championship, previously finishing 2nd in 2011 (Team Balsdon) and 5th in 2012 (Team Keon). RHCC also finished 2nd at the Ontario provincials last year in 2016 (Team Keon). Those are some great results over the years to demonstrate the strength and competitiveness of club curling at RHCC! Good luck to Team Ontario/RHCC/St. Denis at the Canadian Championship!
